But is Kayne Really an Idiot?

The Grammy Awards aired on CBS this past Sunday 2/8/2015 and the most talked about performance was Kanye West's  jump on to the stage during Beck's Album of the Year win.

Now some of you may remember the stunt he pulled on Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009 when she won the award for Best Female Video. I guess Kanye wasn't happy with that decision and jumped up on the stage to announce that Beyonce has the best video of all time.

So let's get back to the recent Grammy's.... Beck wins for Album of the Year and he takes the stage to accept his award. It's a big moment for a musician to receive such a high honor. So there stands Beck... and up comes Kanye from the audience. He smirks... says nothing and exits the stage. Oh ha ha ha. That's funny!  NOT!!

Now I can see how this might have been a funny joke and could easily be dismissed because she didn't say a word and he left the stage as quickly as he came up.  No harm, no foul right?  Well, I think most people could have just written it off, if he didn't run his mouth in many interviews later and say things like "Beck needs to respect real artistry and give his award to Beyonce."

REALLY?!?!?!  Was that even necessary??

But guess what folks... Kanye is the winner!! He's trending on Facebook and Twitter. People are talking about him and his antics. Sure, most of the comments are negative, but he is being talked about. His face and name are all over entertainment news etc. Guess how much all that publicity cost him? Nothing! It's all free!!

I know what some of you are thinking.... "Why would he want bad publicity?"  Because publicity is publicity. He's been pulling this crap for years. Remember that Telethon for Katrina where he went off script and said Bush hates Black People?? This isn't new for him... and after the Taylor Swift thing... he is still around... he is still going to award shows and his music is still selling. So say what you want, but people are talking about him and it's not hurting him at all. He can be the biggest ass he wants to be and it won't matter... you will still talk about him. Hell.. I am devoting this post to him. It works!

I don't go out of my way to see anything or hear anything the dude does. I could care less. What I do care about is that this is the example he sets.... do what you want, when you want and screw anyone who doesn't like it. Well.... confidence is nice, but not when it is at the expense of someone else.

Go away quietly Kanye.... or go away noisy... I don't care... but please go away!!!
